Is ther any treatment on alopecia?
Alopecia has many forms.
A spot of alopecia – alopecia areata – is transient and recovers in 6 months. Local injections of steroids hasten recovery.
Male type of baldness is treated with minoxidil local application and finasteride tablets.
Alopecia due to fungal infections clears after treatment to the infection.
Other types of alopecia – universalis, totalis etc are not treatable.
