Beauty Rules

Why do you people always say “Beauty is on the inside” when that rule sure as hell doesn’t apply anymore?
I mean seriously, I know and agree that inside beauty counts ALOT, but that crap doesn’t fly anymore in these times, it seems like its all about looks now, the media is messed us up!
I mean I’m probably considered “ugly” (which i dont think i am by the way), just because I dress tomboyish/rockerish and don’t have blonde hair and a fake orange tan.
Physical beauty may be what attracts someone, but internal beauty and intelligence is what makes them stay. In my opinion, you are right, its about looks now, but looks fade. They are temporary and just about anything can be bought, which is why I think people with natural looks, the ones they were born with, are the most beautiful of all. If you don’t think your ugly, then your not. The only opinion that should matter when it comes to your body is your opinion, never let anyone tell you how you look or feel. Besides, the girls with bleached hair and fake tans are harming their body, some guys may like that, but they will have problems when their hair falls out or breaks off from over dying and they develop skin cancer from tanning. It takes girls like us believing in ourselves and respecting our bodies to change the shallow ways of the world.
