Medicaid and chipped tooth…?
Hello
Yesterday, I got hit in my teeth with a glass bottle and a piece of my front tooth got knocked off. It is a small piece, but I look pretty goofy. I called Cherry Street Health (in Grand Rapids, Michigan) today and have an appointment set for the 22nd. Now, I have Medicaid and I am wondering if that will cover it for the dentist to make my tooth look normal. I know that Medicaid doesn’t cover cosmetic dentistry, but I am in pain as well. So the dentist will have to fix that. What I am wondering, though, is if the dentist fixes the pain – probably by filling it in- will my tooth look normal again because of the filling?
Sorry if this is a bit confusing =/
The fact that its a front tooth and causing you pain – - they should be able to see you sooner!!!! Do they know your in pain and it’s a front tooth??
You possibly may need a root canal…. if its that large of a chip! A root canal would not be cosmetic and i don’t believe it wouldn’t be cosmetic to get a filling on the front tooth if it was broken.
